This airport is also known as the Chek Lap Kok Airport, the primary one in the beautiful city of Hong Kong. In addition to this, it is one of the busiest airports in Asia, where all international flights take off and land. It came into operation in 1998, with an area of 1,905 hectares.
Formerly known as Royal Air Force Station Sek Kong, this airport was opened in 1950. This airport is situated at a distance of 15 Km from the rush of the city and is mainly used by the Hong Kong Airforce. During the weekdays, People's Liberation Army members use this airport.
