Established in 1982, this airport is located 30 kms east of Abu Dhabi city. One of the main projects, the Midfield Terminal Building (MTB), will increase the airport’s overall capacity to 45 million passengers a year. It will open towards the end of 2023.
Located in the southeast region of Sharjah, Sharjah international airport was established in 1985. This airport is located 10 kms away from Sharjah City Centre and 15 kms away from Dubai.
Sharjah Airport comprises an area of 15 300 000 square meters and is the 3rd highest Middle-East air freight centre in cargo tonnage. In addition, this airport can accommodate nearly 10 million passengers throughout the year.
About 12 kms southeast of Abu Dhabi is Al Bateen Executive Airport, a business jet international airport. It was built in 1960 and can hold 30 private jets and has a fuel stop location too.
