Antwerp Airport is located in the southern part of Antwerp city. The new Antwerp airfield was officially opened on May 23, 1923. It is primarily used by charter flights to other parts of Europe.
It is considerably less busy than Brussels and the city is well-connected via bus and train to the rest of Belgium. The distance between Antwerp Airport and the city of Antwerp is about 6 kms.

The airport was originally created by Germans during World War I in the year 1916 and it is presently used as a business airport. There are no scheduled civil aviation services offered by the airport.
However, passenger and charter flights can be availed on demand from here. The runway is 1900 metres long, making it capable of handling most passenger aircraft.

This is primarily a military airfield with a runway size of 2980 metres. It is located in the municipality of Malle and is often used for civil aviation as well as per demand. The airport is located in the eastern part of Belgium near the border with the Netherlands.
