Located in Düsseldorf, the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia state in Germany, Düsseldorf International Airport is the 4th largest airport in Germany. It is about 20 Km close to Germany’s largest metropolitan area, Essen in the Rhine-Ruhr area and 7 Km from Düsseldorf.
Bremen airport, once known as The Bremer Verein für Luftschiffahrt, was a local aerospace club. It conducted its first experimental flights in the summer of 1910. Located in Stuttgart, the capital of the German state of Baden-Württemberg, Stuttgart airport is the 6th busiest airport in Germany. It was founded on 15 November 1924. Bodensee Airport Friedrichshafen is the 3rd biggest airport. It is situated about 3 Km from Friedrichshafen, on the banks of Lake Constance (German: Bodensee). This airport started scheduling passenger flights in 1929 and now facilitates flights to European metropolitans and tourist destinations.
Flughafen Karlsruhe / Baden-Baden is the 2nd largest city in the Baden-Württemberg state of Germany. It started its commercial flight in April 2001. Leipzig/Halle Airport, (opened in 1927), is the 14th largest airport situated in Schkeuditz (6.8 Km from the airport). It handled 2.6 million passengers and 1238343 metric tonnes of cargo as of 2019. This is the 2nd busiest airport in Germany and the 15th busiest airport in Europe in terms of cargo traffic.
Hannover airport is situated in Langenhagen. It is around 11 Km north of the centre of Hannover, the capital of the Lower Saxony state of Germany. It was opened in 1952 replacing an old airfield within the boundaries of the city of Hanover.
Frankfurt–Hahn Airport is situated in the municipality of Hahn, Rhineland-Palatinate in Germany. This airport is close to major cities like Koblenz (70 Km), Mainz (90 Km), Frankfurt (120 Km) and Luxembourg (120 Km). It provides low-cost commercial passenger service besides being a prominent cargo airport due to its 24-Hour operating licence and favourable location.

Berlin Brandenburg Airport Willy Brandt is located in Schönefeld (6.3 Km from the airport) in the south of Berlin, the German capital. This airport opened on 31 October 2020 and now it mostly features flights for European leisure destinations and metropolitan cities.
Münster Osnabrück Airport, formerly Münster/Osnabrück International Airport, is one of the airports in Germany. It was officially opened on 27 March 1972 and is very close to Greven (7.8 Km), Münster (25 Km) and Osnabrück (35 Km).
