Following are the steps to check e-Challan status using the Parivahan portal:

• Step 1: Navigate to the official Parivahan website in the first place.
• Step 2: Now, enter Challan, vehicle or DL number.

• Step 3: Once you are done with this, insert the CAPTCHA code for verification.
• Step 4: After entering the required data, verify them and click on “Get Details”

After this, the system will display the e-Challan details, including the crime, the fine amount, and any other details associated with a traffic violation.

Another method to check the status of e-Challan is the UP Police Official Website. Following is the simple step-by-step process to do so:

• Step 1: Go to the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Traffic Police.

Step 4: Then, click on ‘Show details’.

If you want to settle your traffic fines offline, you can go to the Head office of Uttar Pradesh Police situated at Police Headquarters, 9th Floor, Tower 2, Gomtinagar Ext., Shahid Path, Lucknow, UP. Follow these steps to pay your traffic fine offline in Uttar Pradesh:

• Step 1: Visit the police station and bring the necessary documents like a valid driver's license, address proof, ID proof, and a copy of the challan specifying the traffic offence for which you are being penalised.
• Step 2: Hand over the documents to the inspector at the police station and pay the fine in cash. Make sure to collect the payment receipt and keep it for future reference.
• Step 3: Proceed to the payment counter once you've done this. Mark the appropriate payment counter at the police headquarters and hand over the required documents.
• Step 4: You can also pay the traffic fine by approaching a traffic police officer with a handheld e-Challan payment device to easily make an instant cashless payment using a Debit/Credit card or Unified Payment Interface.
