The e-challan is Hyderabad's new traffic enforcement system, which regulates the city's traffic flow. Under this system, any traffic violation is computerised, and automatisation thus becomes inevitable, followed by traffic regulation and ensuring road safety. 

The electronic challan system improves effectiveness through quick data collection, digitised payment options, and compliance with traffic rules. The e-challans are the state-of-the-art digital instruments used to issue traffic violations in Hyderabad that bring the process under control and encourage responsibility on the driver's part. With the technology behind them, the CCTV cameras keep real-time tracking of the record of traffic infractions and send this immediately to the traffic department officers.

• Step 2: Enter the Challan Number, Vehicle Nuber, or Driving License Number to get the details.

• Step 3: Enter the captcha code and click on “Get Details”.

The portal will show any pending e-challans related to the given information.

• Step 4: Upon the successful payment e-challan online, you will receive a confirmation message of the payment made.

Another alternative way to check the status of e-Challan is through the Hyderabad Traffic Police Website. Here are the steps to do so:

• Step 1: Visit the official Hyderabad Traffic Police website.
• Step 2: From the list of the icons, click on the Services menu.

• Step 3: Scroll to the bottom and click on the e-challan status option.

• Step 4: You will be required to enter your vehicle registration number and an answer to the security question.

• Step 5: Click on Go and verify the challan details.
• Step 6: Pay online using your Credit/debit cards or Netbanking.

You will receive a payment receipt confirming your payment.

Hyderabad has three methods of paying traffic e-challan online: the Parivahan website, the Hyderabad Traffic Police portal, and the offline method.

You can pay for your traffic e-challan in Hyderabad by using the official Indian Government portal, Parivahan. Here are the steps to do so:

• Step 1: Visit the Parivahan e-challan website or download the app from the AppStore or PlayStore.
• Step 2: Enter your e-challan, vehicle registration, or driving license numbers and the Captcha code and click submit.

• Step 1: Visit the Telangana Traffic Police portal
• Step 2: Enter your Vehicle or License number and a simple mathematical question in the required box and click “Go.”

Given below are the steps you will have to follow to pay your traffic challan offline:

• If you encounter a traffic police officer with an e-challan machine, you can pay your challan on the spot. Give your challan number, then pay your challan either by cash, UPI, card payment (credit/debit), or through mobile wallets like PayTM, Mobi wallet, etc. You will get the receipt after making a successful payment.

• Similarly, you can go to the Hyderabad traffic police headquarters station to register your challan by providing your name, address, and driving license.

• Furthermore, you can opt to make a full payment using a cheque, demand draft, or a pay order in the name of the Hyderabad Traffic Police.
