According to Motor Vehicle Act, if you drive a vehicle in a no-entry zone, then you have to pay a no-parking fine in Chennai. If this violation occurs, you may have to pay a fine ranging from ₹2000 to ₹5000, depending on the severity of this offence. As per the news, to avoid conflicts between the public, police personnel have decided to fine no-parking charges in Chennai. The violators can pay the fine through various online and offline payment methods or through e-seva centres. Here they are:

• Offline Mode:

You can pay a no-parking fine in Chennai by visiting your nearest traffic police station.

• Online Mode:

You can also pay the fine online by visiting the e-challan website of Traffic Police.  On the website, enter the vehicle number, challan number and your driving licence number to check the amount of your pending fine.  Choose your payment option from the list and pay the requisite amount.

Recently, as per the reports, not paying the fine for violating no-parking rules in Chennai resulted in increased Helper and Towing charges. This towing and helper charges for four-wheelers have raised to ₹450.

Also, for two-wheelers, these charges have increased to ₹225. Failing to pay these fines can result in the vehicle being towed away, which can be inconvenient for the owner. Additionally, the police are taking strict action against vehicles parked in no-parking zones, which can lead to traffic congestion and other issues.
