Penalty for Non-Payment of Road Taxes in Kerala
The penalty is fixed at Rs.100 for first-time offenders. For a second time offence, the amount is fixed at Rs.200.
How to Pay Road Tax Online in Kerala
To pay the road tax for Kerala online, you can visit the Motor Vehicles Department webpage (https://mvd.kerala.gov.in/). Then click on the “Vehicles’” tab and provide registration number. Then follow the steps accordingly to make e-payment online. This is the only way to make a Kerala state road tax online payment.
If you cannot pay the tax online, then visit any of the nearest RTOs and fill up a form. Once the form is filled, you can make your payment, and you will receive a confirmation of the same. Do not leave without the payment receipt, however!
