Electric bikes are all the rage these days. People have understood the value of reducing their carbon footprint and hence have been looking for greener ways to commute.
The concept of electric bikes in our country is new. Let’s take a look at some upcoming electric bikes in India.

Hero Electric unveiled the new AE-8 neo-retro electric scooter at the auto show. It will probably be released in the upcoming months and is a part of Hero's Trend Series.
Its features include a fully computerised instrument console and an LED headlight. Additionally, the front apron appears to have a distinctive-looking blue illuminated honeycomb pattern.

The Oki100 includes a rear monoshock, a disc brake with CBS on both ends, and a telescopic front fork. Regarding features, the electric bike has smartphone connectivity and LED lighting throughout.

The Revolt RV BlazeX is an upcoming electric motorcycle designed to redefine urban commuting with its sleek design and powerful battery. Expected to launch in July 2025, this bike will offer an eco-friendly and cost-effective alternative to traditional fuel-powered motorcycles.
With a sporty appeal, lightweight frame, and advanced technology, it caters to riders seeking both style and performance.
Specifications:
Internationally sold Gogoro 2 Series e-scooters include liquid-cooled electric motors. This model also has a telescopic fork and twin preload adjustable rear shock absorbers.
The Gogoro 2 Series has an incredible digital display but no Bluetooth. It is unlocked using keyless access and smart keys. LED illumination and 25-litre under-seat storage are included.

The KM5000 bike has a 7-inch bright touchscreen digital dashboard with 4G connectivity, which makes driving intelligent, seamless, and connected. The dashboard provides turn-by-turn navigation, music control, and information on vehicle and riding habits.

It is designed after the Hero Maestro Edge 125, its petrol-powered sibling. The scooter has an LED headlamp, LED tail lamp, digital instrument cluster with cloud connectivity, and an old-school left handlebar neutral, drive, and reverse mode toggle. Both scooter wheels are alloy with tubeless tyres.

The RM Mitra redefines high-speed electric two-wheelers. It has different features and is even suitable for commercial use. It has a telescopic fork, twin rear shock absorbers, and a front disc brake.

Expected to run at a top speed of 100 km per hour on one full charge, this electric scooter is going to compete with Ola S1, Bajaj Chetak, Vida V1, TVS iQube, Ather 450, etc. In terms of braking systems, the scooter will have a disc brake and drum brake on its front and rear wheels, respectively.
The scooter is coloured black and white and has red accents, which will give it a stylish look.

The Okinawa 'Cruiser' comes in bright colours and has amazing features, such as a semi-digital instrument cluster, keyless operation, mobile phone charging, anti-theft alarm, and find my scooter and cruise control, which are also included. The Cruiser has 14-inch alloy wheels with disc brakes and is surrounded by LED lighting.

As expected, Suzuki Burgman Electric will be another top-notch electric bike forecasted to launch in the market soon. Although the technical details of this electric bike model are yet to be revealed, it is most likely to compete with its rivals like TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, etc.
So, you can expect a battery range of 60 km - 80 km with a similar maximum speed. It might feature Bluetooth connectivity as well. Suzuki Burgman Electric is going to be available in one colour in the Indian market.

Expected to get launched in the Indian market in October 2025 within a price range of ₹1,80,000 to ₹1,90,000, Tork Kratos X is going to be another excellent electric two-wheeler option.
It is power-driven by a 9kW axial flux motor which is going to generate 38 Nm of torque and run at a maximum speed of 105 km per hour. This bike is going to be available in one colour in the Indian market.

Powered with a 7 kW electric motor, the weight of the Gogoro CrossOver is 126 kg. The bike features a disc braking system at its front and rear wheels.
The CrossOver series of Gogoro has been manufactured on a redesigned all-terrain frame which ensures better comfort and rigidity. Gogoro CrossOver is going to be available in four colours - Red, Grey, Brown, and Yellow.

Yamaha Neo S has a front KYB telescopic fork and rear monoshock. It also includes disc-drum brakes. The electric bike has a keyless start, and a tiny LCD instrument that pairs with the Yamaha MyRide app is included. This console shows speed, battery, time, and call/message notifications.

The Urban S has a headlight that resembles a speed bike and similar sportive mirror positions. It can go up to 250 km and has an LED tail light, charging point, and many other amazing features.

Enjoy a smooth and silent ride with Vespa Elettrica, which is expected to be unveiled in the middle of 2024. It is manufactured with extreme comfort, dependability, and stylish features which makes it a perfect choice for regular rides. Powered with a 3.6 kW electric motor, this bike can generate 200 Nm torque.
This two-wheeler is going to be available in several colours – Rozzo Red, Giallo Lampo, Blue, White, etc.

The EeVe scooter has a Bosch hub motor and both ends have disc brakes for maximum braking power. It claims to charge completely in 3-4 hours with a conventional charger. EeVe claims a 30-minute charge with the optional fast charger.

Triumph Motorcycles announced that its fourth and final live testing phase for the TE-1 electric prototype is complete. The TE-1 prototype utilises Ohlin suspension.
