Engine and Gearbox Protection Add-on Cover in Two-Wheeler Insurance

In addition to the exclusions listed under the main insurance policy, you won’t be covered for the following under the Engine and Gear-box Protection add-on cover:

• Any other consequential damage due accident apart from the loss/damage covered under this add-on cover

• Any payment under this add-on cover in case of constructive total loss/total loss of the vehicle.

• Any claim which is notified after 3 days of the happening, provided the insurer at its sole discretion condone the delay in notification of claim on merits based on the reason for delay furnished to them in writing.

• Loss/damage covered under any other type of insurance policy/manufacturer’s warranty/recall campaign/any other packages.

• Claim where the repair has been carried out without prior approval from the insurance company.

• Aggravated loss, deterioration or consequential damage to the engine, gear box and transmission assembly including corrosion due to 

a) delay in retrieving the two-wheeler from water logged area, delay in instructing the garage to start repair after the surveyor assessment is completed, delay on the part of garage chosen by you in regard to execution of repair work

b) No claim will be entertained where minimum required reasonable care has not been taken to protect against further loss/damage.

c) Any claim where water inundation is not proved, in case of water ingression-related loss
