Mitsubishi Motors is a Japanese multinational automobile manufacturer formed in April 1970. As of 2011, it is the sixth-largest Japanese automaker and the nineteenth-largest in the world by production. Mitsubishi vehicles took part in circuit and off-road racing for almost half a century.
In 1998, the Indian manufacturer Hindustan had a joint venture with this Japanese manufacturer and started producing models for Indian buyers. Mitsubishi cars are a perennial favourite of customers due to their diversity and power-packed performance. The company produces a range of fuel-efficient city cars to powerful SUVs.
Some of the Mitsubishi car models available in the Indian commuter market are Outlander and the Pajero Sport Select Plus.
If you still drive one of the Mitsubishi cars in India, you should know everything about motor insurance policies and their benefits. There might be instances when your car incurs damages from an accident or other unfortunate events resulting in hefty repair costs. In that case, you can avoid financial liability by obtaining Mitsubishi car insurance.
Further, a well-rounded insurance policy for your Mitsubishi car helps in curtailing legal liabilities as well. Essentially, there are two types of insurance policies in India- third-party and comprehensive. Third-party insurance for Mitsubishi cars covers third-party liabilities and other legal issues. It is also a basic insurance plan that is mandatory to obtain as per the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.
However, for additional coverage against own car damages, you should consider comprehensive car insurance for Mitsubishi.
Several insurance providers in India provide Mitsubishi car insurance online along with a plethora of other benefits. Choosing the best insurance plan out of the available options can be a daunting task. Thus, you should compare plans from different insurers online and select the one with maximum service benefits and affordable Mitsubishi car insurance prices.
While you are comparing plans online, you might want to consider providers like Digit due to its attractive features such as a large network of cashless garages, add-on facility, customer-friendly services and more.

HM Mitsubishi is a Japanese car brand. They have introduced reasonably fuel-efficient cars. Not only this, cars from this brand are worth buying as they have low maintenance costs also. It once ruled with its Lancer model which was considered the most reliable car.
The way Mitsubishi steered the market with Lancer, the company plans another bang with its upcoming three models. For now, they have three SUV models for sale in India that are Outlander, Pajero Sport, and Montero. The price for their inexpensive models: Outlander is Rs.32.02 lakhs and Pajero Sport is Rs.33.09 lakhs. While the top model in the line, Montero starts from Rs.68.63 lakhs. Out of these three models, the Mitsubishi Outlander is the petrol model and the rest two are diesel versions.
Considering the cost of cars, you should also think of buying a car insurance policy. Though the cars are low maintenance still insurance will be helpful. It is a mandatory document you must carry while driving in India.
Looking to reduce the premium paid towards your Mitsubishi’s insurance?
Following are a few ways to do so!
Choose a Higher Deductible: With your Mitsubishi insurance, you will be required to pay a compulsory deductible as per IRADAI directives. Alongside this, you can choose to pay voluntary deductibles during a claim, by virtue of which you can reduce the premium paid towards the policy.
Avoid Making Small Claims: If you make claims for small damages, you miss your NCB and consequently do not enjoy any discounts on your premium. Therefore, if your car’s repair is not costing you much, it is better to avoid making claims.
Compare Premiums: Make sure you conduct proper research and choose the most affordable policy in the market. In this respect, Digit’s Mitsubishi insurance policy (starting at Rs.2702) is cost-effective and offers maximum benefits.
These are, thus, a few ways through which you can lower the premium for your Mitsubishi insurance purchase or renewal.
However, make sure you do not compromise on your policy benefits while seeking lower premiums payable!
Happy driving!
