Here is the step-by-step procedure to complete the e-Visa application process online.
Open the official e-Visa application website for Vietnam and select apply.
Scan your passport photo and info page. Upload these in jpg format on the website.
Remember, it’s crucial to ensure that the spelling and spacing of your full name match the ICAO line exactly. Also, the date of birth format should be DD/MM/YYYY. Preparing and uploading qualified photos to the right fields as guided is also important.
Fill-in the necessary personal data and information regarding your trip on the application form. Then review your application form for data accuracy and submit.
You will receive a registration code after submitting the form. Now, clear the e-Visa fee online through any one of the supported digital modes of payment.
Wait for 3 working days and then visit the official website of the Vietnam Immigration Department to check for your approval letter. Enter your registration code, date of birth and email ID to access it.
Save the letter as a PDF file and take printouts of the same during your travels. On your arrival in Vietnam, you will have to present this approval letter.

As you reach, approach the security guard there, collect your token and wait for your turn at the Visa Application Centre. Proceed to the designated counter for document submission once your token number is announced.
Once documents are submitted, you can pay the visa fees and service charge at the application centre. Remember, the fees and service charges must be paid in cash.
At the centre, you can also opt for premium services like courier, photocopy, SMS, photograph and form-filling assistance. Extra charges apply for each.
You'll get an email notification or SMS (if opted for this service) once your visa decision is ready at the Vietnam Visa Application Centre. Additionally, you can track your visa application status online using the Reference Number from your invoice/receipt along with your last name.
Once your visa application is processed, you can retrieve your passport from the Vietnam Visa Application Centre or have it delivered by courier for an extra charge. For in-person pickup, bring the Centre's receipt and a valid government ID.
