Mumbai is growing exponentially and is thus attaining a strong position as the financial capital of India. As per Maharashtra’s deputy CM, current infrastructure growth in Mumbai will be responsible for attracting major foreign investments in India.
Owing to the city’s important role in developing commercial relationships with foreign lands and its infrastructure growth, Mumbai is becoming a hub for foreign nationals who come to invest, gain employment or visit the metro city.
Therefore, it has become more important to manage the bilateral Indo-Malaysian relationship. The Consulate General of Malaysia is established in Mumbai to manage ongoing interaction between India and Malaysia and to provide services to the Malaysian citizens visiting or living in India.
