The steps for e-Way bill registration online for registered businesses include the following:
Step 1: Log on to the official portal of the e-Way bill.
Step 2: Choose "e-Way Bill Registration."
Step 3: Enter your GSTIN number, then click "Go."
Step 4: Once you submit the request, you will be redirected toward an E Way bill registration form.
Step 5: In that form, you can see ‘Applicant Name’, ‘Address’, ‘Trade Name’, and ‘Mobile Number.’
Step 6: Click on "Send OTP" to receive your OTP on your mobile number. After that, click on "Verify OTP" and validate your OTP, along with other details.
Step 7: Input your Username to start operating your account on the official portal.
However, you must note that the username must contain 8 to 15 alphanumeric characters. Also, you can enter special characters.
Step 8: After approval of your username, you can set your password. Here you must note that your password (case sensitive) must have a minimum of 8 characters that might also include alphanumeric and special characters.
Step 9: You can submit your registration request after setting the username and password. However, in case of any error, the system will show an error message. Otherwise, you can create your Username and Password to complete the registration process.
For unregistered businesses, you can use the following steps for online registration:
Step 1: Log on to the official portal of the e-Way bill.
Step 2: Select "Enrolment for Transporters."
Step 3: After that, you will see an e-way bill registration form with a few compulsory fields and some non-compulsory fields. Regardless, you have to fill in a few details, including state, name, trade name, PAN, employment type, and contact Information, such as your Email ID, telephone number, etc.
Step 4: After that, provide your address Proof and ID Proof.
Step 5: Enter your login details, username, and password.
Step 6: For verification, check a box, and click ‘Save.’
Step 7: After submitting the form, the portal will create a Transporter ID or TRANS ID with your user credentials.
Now you can provide a Transporter ID to your clients to include those in the e-way bill.
Likewise registering, to print an e-Way, you have to adhere to a few steps:
Step 1: After generating the bill, click on ‘Print EWB.’
Step 2: Provide your e-Way bill number and click on ‘Go.’
Step 3: Finally, choose 'Print' or 'detailed print' to print your bill.
