10. Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport (Ayodhya Airport), Ayodhya
Airports Authority of India (AAI) is building Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram International Airport in Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh. The development of this is anticipated to complete by September 2023. Being built across an area of 6250 sqm, its terminal building can house up to 300 passengers during peak hours.
11. Noida International Airport, Noida
Noida International Airport, also known as Jewar International Airport, is a proposed international airport in Gautam Buddha Nagar District, serving the National Capital Region (NCR). It is being developed under a public-private partnership model (PPP). It is expected to be functional by 2023-24.
12. Muirpur Airport, Muirpur
Muirpur Airport, sometimes known as Myorpur Airport, is an upcoming airport in Uttar Pradesh. The airport is developing by improving the current government airstrip. The airport will serve the region known as the "Energy Capital of India," home to several electrical generating plants.
13. Shravasti Airport, Shravasti
Shravasti Airport is an upcoming domestic airport in the city of Shravasti in UP. The airport is being built in three stages by renovating the current airstrip, previously used solely by the government and VIPs.
Shravasti Airport's first phase has been finished, and it is anticipated to be functional by the end of the first quarter of this year.
14. Sarsawa Airport, Saraswa
Sarsawa Airport, also known as Saharanpur Airport, is a planned civil enclave near the Indian Air Force's Sarsawa Air Force Station. The airport's civil terminal will be built 20 kilometres from Saharanpur and 2.5 kilometres from Sarsawa. EPACK PREFAB is now working at Sarsawa (Saharanpur) Airport.
15. Moradabad Airport, Moradabad
Moradabad Airport is an airport in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, located on National Highway 9 between Moradabad and Rampur. It is developing through improvements to the current government airstrip.
In February 2014, the Uttar Pradesh government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Airports Authority of India (AAI) to develop this airstrip. As per the latest news in February 2023, the construction of 6 new airports in Uttar Pradesh, including Moradabad, is nearing completion.
16. Lalitpur Airport, Lalitpur
Lalitpur Airport is a planned airport in UP. It is a defunct airstrip and has been out of service since its establishment in Lalitpur during World War 2. The Airports Authority of India owns it. The Uttar Pradesh Government approved building an airport at Lalitpur in March 2021 under the state's current chief minister, Yogi Adityanath.
17. Chitrakoot Airport, Chitrakoot
Chitrakoot Airport is a domestic airport currently under development and will service the city of Chitrakoot. The government of Uttar Pradesh's Civil Aviation Department now owns the existing airfield with a runway.
The State Government decided in January 2019 to extend the airstrip and build an airport terminal by obtaining more property from the Forest Department. Also, it will be the first "tabletop airport" in India and is expected to be operational by the end of this year.
18. Azamgarh Airport, Azamgarh
Azamgarh Airport is a planned airport in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Govt. is building it by upgrading an existing government airstrip.
As of present, the sole destination envisaged for direct flights from this airport under the Regional Connectivity Scheme UDAN is Lucknow.
19. Aligarh Airport, Aligarh
Aligarh Airport is a forthcoming domestic airport located on the outskirts of Aligarh city. The government is developing it by improving an existing airstrip.
This airport and five others are expected to be functional by the end of this year. Currently, the government has planned direct flights from this airport to Lucknow and Kanpur under the Regional Connectivity Scheme UDAN.
