India Sees Huge Tourism Growth: Foreign Arrivals Up Almost 50%
India saw a 47.90% increase in Foreign Tourist Arrivals (FTAs) in 2023, welcoming 9.52 million tourists. Leisure and holiday arrivals grew by 86.96%, while business visits rose by 49.66%. FTAs recovered to 87.1% of pre-pandemic levels, surpassing the Asia-Pacific region's recovery rate.
