The airport is located south of Port Blair, around 5 kilometres from the city centre and is the only international airport in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It started its international operations in 2007 and was known as Port Blair Airport.
In addition, the airport authority is building a new terminal. The new terminal is expected to handle 1200 passengers during its peak hours.

2. Car Nicobar Air Force Base
