The National Highway 15 starts from the junction with NH 27 in Baihata Chariali in the Kamrup district of Assam connecting significant places like Mangaldai, North Lakhimpur, Tezpur and Dum Duma in Assam. Its exit point is at the junction with NH 13 in Wakro, Arunachal Pradesh.

The majority portion of NH 15 runs through Assam.
