Yes, it is mandatory to have a vehicle insurance policy if you own a vehicle in Bijapur. Following the Motor Vehicles Act 1988, every vehicle owner must possess a vehicle insurance policy that covers at least third-party damages. The RTO officials of Bijapur will charge fines of ₹1000 for two-wheelers and three-wheelers and about ₹2000 for four-wheelers if they find uninsured vehicles on the road.
