The purpose of vehicle insurance is to provide cover for unpredictable situations related to accidents and resultant damages. It covers damages to third persons and third-party properties involved in an accident and vehicular and physical damages to the owner. It also compensates the family in case of death in an accident.

According to a 2nd February report, a biker met with an accident and got injured in Rajajinagar. An SUV hit his bike and he got thrown off the bike and fell a few feet away. People nearby took him to a hospital where his minor injuries got treated. 

According to a 20th January report, Namma Bengaluru Foundation, with Traffic Wardens Organisation and Bangalore Traffic Police, organised the National Road Safety Week campaign from 11th January to 18th. Its primary aim was to spread knowledge regarding road responsibilities and following traffic rules.
