Yes, it is mandatory to have motor insurance while driving in Meham. Driving without proper vehicle insurance makes its owners subject to penalties. In some instances, it may also lead to imprisonment.

Penalty charges for driving without proper insurance is ₹2000. For repeating the offence penalty charges increase to ₹4000. 

As per reports, an accident between a tractor and a bike resulted in the death of a youth in Meham. The accident occurred near Hanuman Mandir in Meham on the Hisar Rohtak National Highway. Police reached at the spot after the accident and discovered that the victim had suffered serious injuries. He was declared dead when taken to the hospital. Later, police started an investigation after the family members lodged a complaint. 

Another report cited an accident on the Meham-Bhiwani road that resulted in the death of 2 people. The accident took place between a bike and a truck, where the bike riders were crushed. Both riders were dead on spot while the truck driver fled. Police carried out an investigation against the truck driver.
