Cancellation and Refund Policy

We would love for you to still be part of the Digit Life family. However, for any reason if you decide to cancel any of your Digit Life Insurance policies, we will try and make the cancellation and refund process as smooth as possible.

Can I cancel my Digit Life Policy and get a refund before the commencement of the policy?

Yes. No-questions-asked, full refund of your premium will be initiated if the policy has not commenced, i.e. prior to coverage/policy start date.

Can I cancel my Digit Life Policy and seek a refund, if the coverage/policy has commenced?

Yes, only if the policy is within the free look period i.e. 30 days from you receiving the policy.

How much will I be paid on Free Look Cancellation?

We may not be able to refund the entire amount. The following deductions are likely to be made:

A proportionate risk premium, i.e. a premium amount that is proportionate to the risk covered for the number of days the policy was active.
Costs associated with stamp duty.
Any costs incurred on medical examinations (if any).

How do I cancel my Digit Life Policy?

We request you to email us on life@godigit.com. Please do provide your policy number, the reason for cancellation & requisite documents.

What is the refund timeline?*

15 business days from the policy cancellation date.
