Initiated by the State Government of Haryana and the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Aapki Beti Hamari Beti Yojana is a savings scheme. Through this scheme, the state government provides ₹21000 as an investment in the Life Insurance Corporation LIC to families with a girl child. Here, the financial assistance is directed particularly to the 1st girl child of Scheduled Caste families or families belonging to the below poverty line families and 2nd girl child of families belonging to any caste.

What Are the Benefits of Aapki Beti Hamari Beti Scheme?
Here are this scheme’s advantages for different categories -
- Scheduled Caste Families – Families belonging to Secluded Caste whose first girl child born on and after 22nd January 2015 can receive a one-time subsidy of ₹21000.
- BPL Families- BPL families whose first girl child was born on and after 22nd January 2015 can get financial aid in the form of a one-time grant of ₹21000.
- 2nd Girl Child- Not only families belonging to SC/BPL categories and with 1st girl child can enjoy the benefits of Aapki Beti Hamari Beti Scheme, but other families can also get the same. The State Government of Haryana allows the same amount to all the families irrespective of caste, creed, religion whose 2nd child was born on and after 22nd January 2015.
Also, families where the second girl child was born on or before 21st January 2015 can receive ₹5000 every year for five years irrespective of caste, creed, or the religion of the families.
- For Twin/Multiple Girl Child- Twin or multiple girls born on or after 22nd January 2015 can get the grant of ₹21000. Here, only one child in any family qualifying all eligibility parameters can receive the grant.
Families with twin girls or multiple girl children born on or before 21st January 2015 can get ₹2500 every year for five years no matter which caste or religion they belong to.
Further, for twin daughters, incentives will start immediately. Also, if either of the daughters passes away, incentives will be stopped. Individuals can restore this after the birth of another daughter.
