• The Union Health Ministry activated a toll-free 24x7 helpline number on 16^th March 2020 to address the queries about Covid-19. National toll-free helpline number – 1075.
• This toll-free number will be available in addition to the previously existing helpline number - +91-11-23978046.

Apart from these numbers, the Union Health Ministry also launched the helpline email ID - ncov2019@gmail.com

WhatsApp Number

The government has also launched a chatbot on WhatsApp in an attempt to raise awareness about the disease and curb the spread of misinformation.

Users of this messaging platform can reach out to the health ministry at +91-9013151515. You can find relevant answers to your Covid-19 related queries by messaging “Hi” to this number.

You will then receive an automatically generated message from the helpline, following which you can post your query.

These helpline numbers have been activated to propagate the following:

• To aid individuals gather information about Covid-19 and clarify any doubt with adequate solutions.
• These helplines will help callers to avail information regarding their nearest coronavirus test centres and labs including their location, contact numbers, etc.
• An individual can also contact their district surveillance units through these numbers to report any suspicious case of Covid-19, including their family members and neighbours.

By making information and the authorities more accessible to the masses, the government aims to curb the disease before it takes a more severe hold on our nation.
